Automotive SPICE is a software process evaluation and improvement model developed by European automobile manufacturers (OEMs) for the automotive industry, which is used to guide the supplier's software development process and improve the quality of electronic control unit (ECU) on vehicles. Automotive SPICE is a standard widely used in software development of automobile industry to evaluate and improve the system and software development process.
The purpose of this course is to illustrate the Automotive SPICE standard, so that trainees can have a preliminary understanding of this standard. Through sharing of practical example from experience, combined with trainees’ current work, they can find the gap between the actual work and the standard which needs further discussion on how to meet the standard.
